Why do people who follow the honored Dr. Harold Hoehner believe that Jesus’ had a special 3.5-year ministry, yet fail to see how it is connected to Daniel’s 70-weeks prophecy? God speaks in terms of prophetic 3.5-year timespans and not 7-years for a reason: He spiritually and physically binds the entire 70-weeks announced by Gabriel into one continuous unit for spiritual refining through fire. The first and second 3.5 year periods bracket the 2000 year Church Age. God is preparing His people which includes all believers in Jesus Christ, for the 1000-year Kingdom of God. Harold believes that Jesus was born in 4 B.C. and died in 33 B.C. which would make him 36 years old—really?
God wants us to obey Him and keep the integrity of His Word. As we understand and teach the Truth, God will bless us, our family, our city, and nation. Darby’s misconception is so entrenched that it will take many people to influence our leaders and those who have been given the privilege to guide, lead, and teach us. Hoehner states in his papers at the library at DTS that the prophecy begins in 444 B.C. and ends in the year 33 A.D. Harold Hoehner converts 483 into solar years to come up with March 30, 33 A.D. as the date of the Triumphal Entry. The Dallas pastor failed to convert to solar years, but his biggest mistake was claiming that he could get Harold Hoehner’s totals using 360-day years. This should indicate that even this pastor sees the importance of using 360-day years but did not take the time to check his addition. God told us to use 360-day years to calculate the 3.5 years. This will affect all his Revelation sermons too.
