“For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” I Sam. 16:7
Helping God’s Light Push Back Darkness:
The book of Revelation does not support Darby’s supposition concerning the Temple, the Abomination and the timing of the Rapture, and the correct translation of the book of Daniel does not support his re-interpretation of 9:27. Why has most of the Church concluded that Darby & Futurism are right?
Is this the Proverbial Apple from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? Have we surrendered God’s divine tool to measure time in exchange for man’s scientific need to comprehend and measure time at a different prophetic level? God instituted the 360-Day year for a reason, and He does not have to tell us why. We should trust that during the prophetic 3.5 years God, is going to measure time differently for a special reason. Maybe to purposefully confuse us.
The Jew was told to add one month every 8 years. Maybe the key 3.5-year period occurs within those 8 years. We are arrogant to think that Christians today are superior to those long ago who trusted in the purity of God’s Word. Seven times in Daniel and Revelation God defines 3.5 years as being 1260 days. This means that His Prophecy is to be measured based on a 360-Day Year and not on our human based man-directed system of measuring the 3.5 year time span. The major prophecies in both Daniel and Revelation are based upon the dynamics and application of this divine measurement and timeline.
When Darby forced the switch away from the God directed 360-day year to the man directed 365-day year, he changed both the starting point and the end point of Daniel’s 70-weeks Prophecy. To make this switch he had to demote Ezra’s decree, replacing it with Nehemiah’s which came 13 years later. He also had to eliminate Jesus’ ministry from the timeline and add the 3.5 years to the Wrath of God. He switched the 483 years measured in 360-day years to a new timespan of 476 years measured in solar years, Darby changed Gabriel’s message to focus on a dark figure to appear 2500 years in the future instead of on the fast-approaching appearance of the Messiah. He linked the 476 years to the Triumphal Entrance in 33 A.D. In doing this he ignored Christ’s supernatural and Glorious Baptism and the ministry that followed.
How was Darby able to switch Jesus Christ to Satan’s main-man the Anti-Christ and get away with it? This may say a lot about the effect that industrialism, the new wealth class, and intellectualism had on the minds of educated Americans and Europeans. The doubts planted by the Darwinian evolutionists helped to propel Darby’s redefinition and reinterpretation. It motivated leaders of the Church such as DL Moody and Scofield to rethink the awkward use of 360-day years. For the sake of pragmatism and “New-think” they surrendered the Glory of Jesus Christ’s Baptism, mission, and ministry. The focus was on science and social pragmatism.
The evidence has been presented. We must now correct one of the biggest blunders ever in history of the Church. It will not be easy for 90% of Prophecy books, lectures, sermons, media tools, and lesson plans are anchored on Darby’s errors. Eccl.10:5: “There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler.” Let’s correct it before it is too late!
Has Darby’s re-interpretation of God’s Word led to failures we see in the Church? Most Evangelical, Charismatic and Baptist pastors follow his theory. Churches have a flood of entertainment but a drought in heart strengthening studies. They ignore diving deep into God’s Word to uplift the heart; and completely ignore studies related to Eschatology. The Church is not aware how this failure has negatively impacted the image the Church projects. Darby’s lies may have led to the death of missionaries in Islamic countries. Could this also be one reason for the breakdown in the longevity of pastorships, marriages and families? Could this feed the collapse of morality and stability among single adults and teenagers in general?
The Book of Revelation reveals who the real Jesus Christ is. He speaks and the enemies of the entire world are defeated in a Word (from Revelation). Cults do not dare read Revelation for in this book he is declared King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and the Alpha and Omega. By changing Revelation we are grieving the Holy Spirit and the King of Kings.
